Rev. Charles Lawrence Hudson was ordained an Itinerant Elder in the Texas Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church in October 1998. Hudson is very passionate about his love for God and people. A lifelong member of Wesley, he is an Associate Minister, Church School Teacher and assists Pastor Griffin and the Ministerial Staff in various capacities. He previously served the Young People and Children’s Division (YPD) of the Women’s Missionary Society of the AME Church on the Local, Conference, District and Connectional Levels, leaving the YPD as its Connectional Parliamentarian in 1991.Hudson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in Broadcast Media from Texas Southern University. He plans to pursue a dual Masters Degree in Media Management and Divinity in the near future. He is currently the Operations Manager and Gospel Program Director at Texas Southern University’s Non-Commercial Radio Station KTSU 90.9FM, where he has hosted the afternoon portion of the station’s Gospel Sunday programming since 1989. Hudson also serves as the 1st Vice President of the Houston Gospel Announcers Guild of the Gospel Music Workshop of America and Member of the Education Committee of the National Organization. 9 years.
